Carbon Offset Management and Acquisitions

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is a greenhouse gas (GHG) and is one of the major causes of global warming and climate change. Carbon offsets are a trading mechanism to fund emission reduction projects. SEP is a registered member of the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) and is qualified to provide auditing services.  CCX is North America's global marketplace for integrating voluntary legally binding emissions reductions with emissions trading and offsets for all six greenhouse gases.  SEP through CCX is qualified to make voluntary but legally binding commitments on our client’s behalf to meet annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets.

Carbon Harmony

Carbon Harmony, created by Sustainable Energy Partners, is taking action against climate change so that events and concerts such as the Sasquatch! music festival actually have a reducing effect on the amount of carbon dioxide in the environment.

For every carbon harmony project, calculations are done to understand what the CO2 emissions impact would be. Then, a larger amount of carbon reductions credits are purchased to offset the impact of that project and to actually reduce the overall level of CO2 in the air.

The more people that get involved, the less emissions there will be, and the closer we will be to solving the climate change problem.

Sustainable Energy Partners is a Carbon Harmony company. We have offset 150% of our emissions via CO2 credits for 2007. 2008 calculations will be done at the end of the year.
